A good looking image posted here! Your, fine full and appropriate composition offers us a good view of that very strange tree trunk. Never seen one like it! Exposure and sharpness are good. Well taken!

You sure do get around! Twisted is an understatement- also gnarled, convoluted, etc. looks like perhaps two trees grown together. A marriage to last!

I don't know if I really like this or not. But I don't review by what I like mostly, but from the skill of the capture and the subject. The foliage on the tree is lovely, but the trunk is most unique to me in the states. It would be a nice abstract piece about being entwined in love.

A great example of a gnarled tree trunk. I know that the older olive trees often get that way but this one is over the top. A fine shot with great colors and good detail.

Excellent job in capturing this anomaly. This shot tells a story of the twisting and deformation of the olive tree trunk. It is amazing that this tree is still alive. A fine shot. Ray G.

Now I like that! What I get to wondering is what promoted this kind of growth -- what combination of influences made this tree decide to grow the way it did, weather, tree-genetics??....

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this ancient & twisted Olive Tree in Sicily the sunlight highlighting it's twisted trunk helping it to standout from the other Olive trees in the background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
