Their only fault is that they can?t live as long as we do, I think it is the intended to be that way because they want to live their whole lives with us. Imagine how horrible it would be if it was us who left them .

This is really great image, I think it would be fun to draw...would you mind if I did? I'm thinking coloured pencil on black paper...

He is indeed a lovely dog. He looks intelligent. He probably would talk if he had a human voice box. He seems to know more about Mother Nature than we do. The reflections in his eyes are indeed impressive. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The portrait is excellent composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
