I am so pleased to see you posting again and this is one of your specials, not only so cleverly put together, I know you do your own digital specs and that is something beyond me. The story goes well with this and a true story. So that is where the bell was all those year ago. The colours seem to well represent the jungly type of area you describe. The guy, your director, looks believable and in total keeping with your unique art style.

Hi Daphne, the first thing I notice is the man looking up at the bell , it is easy to see by his position and facial expression that he is looking at that bell, it is a wonderful jungle scene you have created around the young man, the wonderful plants with the large green leaves that grow the vivid red / orange flowers in lower portion are so well shown, I love the two blue butterflies and their positions here.it appears to be a vining plant reaching in from top center and I like the shape of its leaves, the tropical bird in flight is another awesome addition to this scene, I like it's colors too!
This makes me wonder why the bell is there and if the young man is waiting for it to chime, he is well placed within the frame and well created to show his posture as he looks up at the bell.
This is an interesting scene in a warm location . I like the pink and yellow tones in background.
Well arranged and presented! This was a pleasure to view!

The piece is really nice, perhaps the lovely green leaves in the foreground , along with many items make it a little too busy. But the flowers and especially the butterflies make up for it. And, I really like that hanging bell and the your lad. Looks like a soft watercolor painting, especially the pinkish and other colors in the back.

Thank you for your kind review. I have had that comment before about my tropical pieces based on this area, but the thing is that in certain jungle micro-climates the environment was even more varied busier than I have depicted here. We are not used to in these northern climes! I should mention that in the caption...

Your artworks have a distinctive simple charm. I love the gentle way you put all the elements together to come up with such beautiful compositions. Brass bell in such a lovely nature setting- just so enchanting. Meticulously crafted the details. Kudos and best wishes for the contest

Thank you; as far as FAR being "finicky", well I was blocked from doing reviews on about 12 members for about three years, and mostly visited the site to review Brenda and Mr. Jones, then suddenly one day you were mysteriously UNBLOCKED for the first time -- who knows what gives. Then when I was about to upload this very graphic yesterday that you just reviewed, on FAR, something disabled my VPN and siphoned this image, its mother Adobe Illustrator file and its variations out of my art folder, as well as the files of a memoir I am working on. The files were gone, gone, gone and did not show up on any searches. Thankfully I had these folders backed up on an external hard-drives that I keep unplugged just for that reason, so something can't siphon the contents off. The timing seems like a weird coincidence... My point being that I can't help but find myself questioning whether the "Angels of FAR " are particularly well disposed to my contributions, lol... And who would want my stuff anyway!!! Enjoy my musings my friend! Its a wacky world -- especially the Internet!

    Crazy Stuff,Daphne!
I recently had one 'reviewer' admit to me that she managed to steal one of the drawings that I posted here on FAR ( via what she assumed to be a 'temporary glitch' in FAR's 'protective' features ) and she was making what she felt were improvements to it! I was quite angry about this and I TOLD HER SO in no uncertain terms!
So don't be surprised if I suddenly 'vanish' with no explanation!
