Bob this is a wonderful shot of this Northern Flicker. He has really good coloring, black dots on the body and wings, the black teardrop and the red nape. Very nice. Ray G.

This is not a bird I am very familiar with, but it is truly beautiful. It could not have posed for you in a better way, and you have pictured it so well. It is lovely the way the light is falling on it, and it is also standing out from the background in an excellent way.

Your focus is spot on an sharp, and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is perfect, and the colors look nice and natural.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo, and the placement of the bird a bit off to the left. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Bob, and with an excellent DOF.
