Nice entry for this contest , it's a beautiful snowy scene , well photographed with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, I know all about getting stuck in areas like this, it's great that your brother in law was able to pull you out with his tractor,
I like the path lined with trees , it's simple yet it's truly beautiful! Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Well in the south when the snow might drop one time a year and is melted by the end of day. So folks in the southern states just stay home for the day till it melts. They salt the roads in the south so it's just safe to stay off the road..lol.. personally I lived all over this country from coast to coast and driven and worked out in this wintry mix where I don't miss it one bit. Thats why I'll keep my butt in Florida for the rest of life..lol. nice capture. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The angle of the shot of this wintry mix is great..the presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Great story to go with a great scene for the contest. Growing up in Idaho this scene looks familiar. And I can certainly relate to getting into a place and not being able to get out.
Great POV with leading lines rating the eye to the end of the scene. Nice framing by the trees.

A beautiful picture of this snowy scene with a fork in the road, one leading up between the trees the other to the right down a steep slope that's where I suspect you met your "Waterloo" with your Truck. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.
