Another Peacock at the Farm

Hi Jack, it must have been quite an amazing experience for you to see this white peacock in person , especially awesome that he has displayed his tail feathers that form
such a beautiful fan.
Initial impact is strong , at first glance it's just gorgeous, however as I study images of birds, I look for a well focused subject , if you look at this peacock, you will see that focus is soft, both in the head and body as well as in the gorgeous fan, I always look for a clear head and well defined feathers , if you look at the head of this peacock you will see that it is not clear and the top of its head and it's back are over exposed causing a loss of detail, the feet look pretty good. The fan is soft, it is difficult to see any detail and it is over exposed . It's placement within the frame is okay, but if you look at the top of the fan you will see that it's touching top frame, there should be enough room for all of the bird to fit within the frame. I am sorry that none of your other reviewers mentioned any of this to you. Please , just take a moment and really look at this peacock, and perhaps you might look online for photos of white peacocks to compare . It's not fair to you if I tell you this is worthy of a five , which means it needs no improvement, it also isn't fair to those photographers who did present images of birds with clear , well defined detail to see this image receive the same five star rating as theirs did. Please keep shooting !

I never saw an all white peacock. Very interesting. I like the background. It has the farm written all over it. The bird looks a bit out of focus.

There are many many photographs of blue / green peacocks but not often you see the white ones as presenterd here. You caught this really well and nicely framed Jack, albeit a tad soft on the focus for my liking. Nevertheless, thank you for sharing

This bird is beautiful. The pristine white of its fan is especial impressive. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the refinement of detail and the realism of color and light. The white balance is correct. The Peacock is expertly placed within the frame. The slightly diagonal position of the bird pleases the equilibrium of the viewers. The photo is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

I think the white peacocks are especially lovely. The blue ones are looking great of course, but an all white bird is more rare. You have pictured this one so well with the tail feathers spread, and it is standing out well from the background.

The photo is sharp showing clear details, and also the exposure is very good.

The format and framing is perfect, and the bird has got a fine placement in the picture. A truly lovely and well taken photo Jack, and with a fine DOF.

What a good looking bird, proudly displaying his God-given gift. You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Another outstanding capture of the peacock. Is it an albino in feathers, although I see a little light creamy-yellow just behind it that the streams of feathers attach too (in photography)?

Most welcome. Notice also, the feathers are almost like a tree lit up, spread up. Beautiful peacock and lights.
