Hi Barbara!
That IS a rather cute little aquatic bird, isn't it?And your nicely lighted and well-presented photograph of it as it swims along looks wonderful!

That is different from any of our Grebes and such a cute little one as they all are - love the pied bill. Good composition allowing plenty of room in front of Grebe. Colors are very natural and the focus is sharp on eye of bird.

Your photo is intriguing. This is a bird of unusual beauty. The colors of the beak and the plumage are interesting. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the refinement of detail and realism of color and light. The blue water emphasizes the bird naturally. The photo is well composed. The bird is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

A well taken nature photo that shows pleasing focus and clear details of this little duck. The natural colors are nicely captured and the clarity is clear throughout. I like the slightly rippled water and the small reflections. Well done, thanks for sharing!

This little Grebe is truly sweet, and you have pictured it so well. You have also captured fine ripples and reflections in the shiny water, and the bird is standing out in an excellent way.

The photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is spot on.

The photo is nicely cropped, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the left. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Barbara, and with an excellent DOF.

Oh, this is darling. What is a Grebe? It sure is cute fin the browns and touches of white. The water is lovely too with its movement. It looks alone in that large body of water.

Grebes are aquatic diving birds. The Pied-billed Grebe is smaller than a duck. I didn't know about them when I first saw them. I thought they were just cute little ducks. When I see one it is usually swimming all by itself. I haven't seen one come near the shore so I have to use my telephoto lens. Thank you so much for the great review Glena!

Welcome, artis Barbara. So glad it will be safe in the lake even by its little self. Thanks for sharing your work and the info. Interesting.
