Wow, three hens looking like three people lol as your creation is so high that it is special and looking at the bigger picture the faces are special like every single detail is fantastic and outstanding - your color choice and application is beautiful and your content is more than normal, very special and all the best for the contest xoxo

Nice work done in watercolor and ink. They are a homely- looking trio. But you painted them according to your research. Like the colors in the sky, ground, and their covers. Good impressive art, creative. Really good for a trial. Think you will do better and better even with these paints. Really enjoyed your commentary.

Thank you so much for your detailed review. I am still not sure myself of being satisfied with thus outcome but wanted to change my style a bit

The three hens look like they are wearing elegant wraps around their shoulders. How interesting your notes are!
Well created and I like the way you posed them like three ladies walking . Well placed within the vertical frame to emphasize their tall shape and structure. Interesting colors that are well applied. I like their large feet!
Well placed against the warm golden sky.
Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Thank you pat for your interesting review. This was out of my comfort zone but sometimes we have to try something out. I rechecked the feet and they are large but these I think a bit over the top

What strange-looking creatures. Never seen one in my life. Surprisingly they have a long life. I like the painting showing the birds walking together. The complementary colours look good. Good luck!

Cool!
That's a fine looking presentation and it features a pleasingly Out of the Ordinary avian subject!
( not just the 'run of the mill' ducks or parrots! )
'Good Show',my friend!

A very nice image that captures their look quite well. I remember years ago when I used to do a lot of trout fishing and tied my own flies that I had guinnea fowl feathers in my box. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you. Their strangeness appealed to me and I like to do different ...

This is an interesting painting that shows nicely bold colors and a slightly abstract tone to these surprising looking birds. Their plumage is beautiful and I like the tall framing. Best of luck for the contest!

Thank you. Yes it was meant to be slightly abstract and impressionistic... not sure I am totally happy with it but it's different.
