Timothy,
A beautiful stop action picture of the Great Egret in it's breeding plumage busy displaying to attract a mate it's breeding plumes encircling it standing out from the softly coloured & blurred background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

This photograph is absolutely stunning! The blurred dark background further enhances the beauty his plumage. Focus, clarity and exposure are excellent.

A really wonderful and special bird picture as he/she has so many, different pieces, all visible by a special situation and your picture was taken at this outstanding moment so we really can enjoy this special presentation with an outstanding content as the green flower part is excellent, but the higher section is very attractive as there are so many, different energy pieces that it is wonderful and very harmonious
An excellent presentation, all the best of luck xoxo

Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that beautiful bird before you. Like its windswept feathers. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

This is stunning phography of capturing the bird's extra feathers so flighy and light. The body and face is nice, being white with a reddish yellow beak and green around the eye. Like the way your blurred the background--nice. The ground foliage is ok, some color, lushness, but a little dark/busy.

Wonderful presentation of this great egret with spectacular presentation against the dark background, allowing the white feathers and its details to really show up.
Wonderful details, placement within the frame and overall spectacular presentation.
Thank you for sharing!

What a terrific picture of this gorgeous bird. He is absolutely stunning. You've captured such a remarkable pose and composition of it. I really love his feathers and how they spread out and they open up. The background is so amazing it works so well it makes the bird really stand out. Amazing photography my friend thank you so much for sharing and good luck in the contest

This is a superb piece of photographic art. It is immediately striking and appealing . The fanning out the feathers truly sets it apart from the ordinary. All technical aspects are spot on. Definitely a picture I would frame and hang in my home. I predict it will win the Birds contest.

Your great review is very encouraging an much appreciated! I got a boost for more reviews after I was marked down because the reviewer didn?t like the dark background. Personally, I love the contrast that shows off the subject, but I don?t want to blow out the delicate white plumage with overexposure. Thanks again!

Truly, my pleasure. Just ignore ignorant mark downs. This is perfectly done. Ed.

Thank you so much! It was good to see your response because I previously had a downgraded rating on this because the reviewer didn?t like the dark background. So I boosted to get more reviews. Personally, I like the contrast, but I don?t like blowing out the delicate detail in the white plumage in overexposure. I have done very well with contrast like this in past contests. Thanks again. 🙂

Oh there is always someone who always likes to criticize, there is one reviewer that I never review because he was never happy with my work, and he is up there in the ranks, lol,, To tell you the truth the white of this photo makes the dark background obsolete.

I had what I thought was a great image of wild parakeets with the daytime moon behind them, and I got a 2 1/2 rating because the reviewer didn?t understand why the moon wasn?t in focus like the birds were. I even had explained in the description that I used f/16 so that the moon could be distinguished. 🙄 I later got a 5+ rating on the same image.

Your shot is intriguing. It looks indeed as if the beautiful plumes explode from the bird like white embers of a firework. Your photo has good depth and is perfect focused and exposed. The enhancements are adequate. I appreciate the realism of light and color and the sharpness of detail. The soft bokeh background is unobtrusive. The bird is excellent placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
