What a really lovely capture of this gorgeous owl. He has very good camaflage against that tree so I hope the crows did not see him. It's an excellent capture. Good focus, good light management. Excellent angle. Very balanced and a nice presentation

A beautiful owl and a very nicely composed shot. It is amazing how every bird that is black will gather around a sleeping owl and pester him until he leaves. Very nice colors but a slightly soft image.

If I were good with dogs, I would do a dog walking business, so good for your daily exercise instead of having to think whom to visit who lives at least a mile away to walk to, for that exercise. Clever, clever you! The owl stands out even though his is almost integral in colours and patternings to his surroundings!! Gorgeous.

thanks so much, yes it was the best job ever! I had to retire though as covid killed my business in one day. And I moved to be closer to my daughters, now Im a grandma lol

I rated this photo as the highest because it it wonderful! Perfect entry for the contest. It could be the winner of color brown contest also (if any). A lot of textures in there. Excellent composition, nice detailed look. Without the shadow in the lower right corner it would be just pretty flat. I would call this shot "Chameleon Owl". Bravo!!! Good luck in the contest!

oh, your so kind. He was trying to sit in the sun here, so yes there was a bit of a shadow, He does blend in well too!

This is a gorgeous owl, well camouflaged, especially that head. Before I saw the rest of it, the head looked carved into the tree. The features are so lovely with the browns and whites. Best wises in the contest.

thank you, these owls hug the tree to blend in for the day, although this one left because he was too exposed and the crows would not leave it alone

You do not think much about your fellow reviewers I gather.

I think that some are just blind but much worse, some give a five or even a six * just because they want to get the same from you; but no problem: continue to be proud of all your pics, even the ones which are obviously out of focus!
