What a great entry for the Made Of Wood contest.
The details in the carving are remarkable showing the true talent of the artist.
The placement of the main subject is spot on being left of center. The colors are well rendered giving a nice warm look and feel.

That is for sure a special content as it seems that he is so excellently part of this tree that it could even be a non-living one bit seeing his foot shows me that he is alive and therefore your picture is excellent - your angle and position is also excellent as you were in the same high position which is awesome

Your photo has good depth, is perfect focused and exposed, and expertly treated with mixed media. I am especially impressed by the sharpness of textures and the realism of color. The light is well used and emphasizes the carving exquisitely. The mixed media is well composed. The Owl is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
