The sky indeed looks great in this photo with the strong pink and golden hues from the sunrise. I think I would like the spring in Alaska.

The distant mountains and the trees in the foreground are standing out sharp and well defined, and it is clear details to be seen everywhere. The exposure is spot on.

The cropping is perfect, and I think it is a very good balance in the composition. A truly lovely and taken landscape photo Pat, and with an excellent DOF.

An extremely colourful and scenic panaorama, which is well lit by sunlight and offers good DOF which gives a full view of countryside and mountains in background.

Pat, this is so peaceful.. I can feel myself right in the middle of this calmness.

When do you go into complete nights?

Lovely colors and beautiful setting.

You are right, the seasons have their sky hues and this is a one of turning, almost to spring. An early freshness .. a hint of warmth amonst the still cold scene. It a beautiful capture. All the elements are there. It is balanced and very appealing.

I love the lavender sky in this image Pat!! Alaska's ambience is very romantic!! The trees are very well placed and the mountains frame the shot beautifully. Thanks for sharing

What a wonderful shot of the sunrise on what seems to be a cold still day. The transition of colors from blue to orange in the sky is great.

I also like the mist in the background on the lake.

Now if we just had a faint morning moon in the upper right! :)

Well done.
