I love this style you have. It is recognisable. The oil rendition is beautiful of a lady playing a harp the dusky colour pallet adds atmosphere. The harp isxexceptionally well done.

Very nicely. Kudus for using oils. I like oils but they take too long to dry unless you cut them back. This very balanced and well framed. The mood is set to the musical instrument the harp. The harp player's dress is satin and garnished with lively red accents and that makes it stand out from the darkness. Nice job James. All the best, Ray G.

This portrait looks almost surreal. The expression of musician is impressive. She seems an eternal being who wants to lure someone into dangerous places. Thank you so very very much corina oils i understand pretty good I?m still learning pastels so far the sanded paper is the best I really don?t like the pastel card so much once again thank you so very much

My dear Jamie?s for me I need more practice with oils which I plan to start very soon. I?m better with pastels. I also find that sand paper is good because it holds more layers of pastels. I think for the work that you were doing the sandpaper is perfect. For me for the kind of details that I do the pastelmat is better but I like the board not the card. You have to stick with what works. I am glad the sandpaper is working for you you?re doing such beautiful work.

I may try pastel board next goin to work in oils most of spring may go back to pastels in the summer or mix it up

Your paintings always capture the moment. She is the harp player in the orchestra. Beautiful black dress that blends in with the background.Only to appear with the red pattern on the bottom. Than with just a few brilliant strokes of white shows the full dress. A fantastics piece.
