First of all, congratulations with winning this contest. It was well deserved for this remarkable photo of a frozen of this fountain. It indeed looks like a melted down candle, and is standing out so well against the blue sky.
The photo is sharp and it is truly clear and well defined details to be seen in the ice together with fine textures. The white balance and exposure is spot on.
The format is perfect, and I like the centered position of the fountain. This is a truly lovely and well taken photo Lee Ann, and with an excellent DOF.

What an amazing entry. I love the clarity of the frozen water formations and its textures. This surely looks like a melted candle, hence, the title fits well. Excellent framing with provision of negative space on each side. A potential winner and deserves a six.

Fine photography of a stunning scene. The ice formation has fine designs in it. I can visualize the image of a large candle shooting up light. The sky is really nice, the trees in the background ok but that's how they were, somewhat bare. Like the touches of blue water peeping through.

Your mixed media is fascinating. This fountain looks like a frozen hot spring with hot steam and water drops exploding from it. It reminds indeed of a burning candle. Your photo has good depth and is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. The landscape at the background, the blue sky and the white clouds emphasize the Ice Candle remarkably. The mixed media is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
