You should have told us what you did with this creature after the photo lol,,, love the shine and yes its like it grew outward, I always wonder if the spirals are like growth seasons like in trees, the colour of this creature is cool

A beautiful picture of this Snail Shell, the light shining on it shows it's beautiful colours & features to best advantage. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

I agree that the shell is beautiful with so many colors and textures. The photo would be much more pleasing to me if you darkened it even more. Looks like you used a flash. The overall effect makes the shell look over exposed. If you have a filter with your software, try it, and then darken it at that point.

Thanks! No flash. Just tweaked the saturation of the colors already in the shell.

Your close-up is intriguing. The colors are superb. The spots at the center of the Snail are especial interesting. The textures of the Snail shell show perfectly. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and adequately treated with mixed media. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The dark background emphasizes the Snail shell profoundly. The shell is excellent placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

i see these a dime a dozen but i never really sit and take a close look at em. interesting pattern. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the pattern on sea shell is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.
