Thanks Brian for the kind comments and high rating. These guys are hard to capture on a camera. One key thing is to make sure the body and wings are on the same plane. With a shallow depth of field on a zoon lens things blur out fast if the not on a plane. I also like the fact that they often come back to the same branch if you spook them at first. Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural.
The dragonfly stands out profoundly from the soft green and black background.
