Most beautiful artwork I have ever seen. Such a beautiful tribute! I knew this dog. The artist, owner and dog are all great people. We love and miss him so very much!!!

A beautiful story to go along with this beautiful work! His pose is so well done as he looks like he is just getting ready to shake his ears out! Lovely realistic expression, almost soulful really. A talented work, best wishes for the contest!

This is a beautiful creative doggy, but I am sad that he was abused, and your art is showing me that he is not happy as he is afraid, and I am said that he died, as mine died as well in March, but your traditional result is fantastic in every details, and as you just used the face, it is really special, and I am sending him love in his heavenly self - as can always see even all my angles, super result and all the best of luck, xoxo

Thanks so much. So sorry about the loss of your pup. I know the pain of losing a dog all to well. The reference photo I used for this drawing was taken on Dale's last day at the pound, while he was waiting for his adopter to arrive. He didn't know that the good life was about to begin.

A very well written story to go with your handsom portrait of Dale. The renditio has come together well and i can see this guy has a lot ofbpersonality. There is realism within art here which I like. Your excellent drawing skill is evident and its a very appealing result you do not say what your medium is which would be interesting to know.

A good looking nature shot posted here! Your fine and full portrait composition suggests that Dale was a very friendly dog. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

That certainly is a sad story,my friend!
Your portrait drawing of the dog looks absolutely wonderful though!
A very 'Good Show' of a presentation!

This is an outstanding drawing. Liked your commentary too. I agree about the counhunds. I did one once for a girl's guy. This is such a realistic drawing. And, I really really like realism.

Welcome. If you have a chance check out my Ship on the High Waters. It is in oils but I think the ship and sails very realistic too. Fine art work here of yours.

He was an adorable dog. I see the scars at his nose and throat. His kind character shows in his face expression. Your artwork is excellent. I appreciate your attention to realistic detail. Perspective, proportions and shading are correct. The portrait is well composed. The dog has a good placement within the frame. The composition is balanced.

maybe some hillbillies might treat their coon hound that way but in the mid south they are honored and loved. even many law enforcement have used this dog sometimes than just a bloodhound. they are very protective to who they consider family and they have to outwit a coon. coons are smart and can be viscous with those claws theirs..i hunt many a coon back in my day in Mississippi. many ways to cook coon..wink. i wish i had a 6 because you would own one from me. such awesome. work. the facial is excellent. the details is excellent. the shading is excellent. the depth is excellent. so realistic~! the presentation is well balanced and very eye appealing to the viewer. so creative and you honored this breed very well and this old coon hunter thanks you for that respect..(standing clapping and cheering) woooooooohoooooooooooo!!oh btw..just posted another video with poster that is spotlighting another FAR member "Bill Bistak"..checked it out..oh yeah dont forget that iphone7 has created a cool contest "the letter A Photo Art"..also i have made a call to artist and photographers thru FAR forum for tributes to rock and rollers over the past 80 years, if your interested contact med to let me know. (thumbs up)
