She is beautiful. What a lovely pose, and a very proud, happy looking dog. You, again, captured such wonderful detail. Most importantly you capture the windows to the soul. The eyes often tell all there is to know. You do such wonderful work.

    Thanks so much! I've always felt that the eyes are probably one of the most important parts to try and get right. They can make or break a portrait if you screw them up, lol.

This should have won first place in my opinion!! The skill that it takes to create this much depth and soft texture with pencil is far greater than the other "winners"! Great expression on this little guy!! Well done!

Congratulations on your win in the pets' art contest. This is so realistic. I like it better than all the others, even mine. Did you use pencil or what medium? Actually deserve a "6".

    Thank you! Yes, it was done in graphite pencil. She belonged to a friend of mine, and was her little baby for close to seventeen years I believe.

This is a very well proportioned visage of a dog. This fine rendering is probably done in pencil. The visible eye has nice shading and highlights. very nicely done. Ray
