How beautiful! I love citrus fruits. Such beautiful composition and colors! A beautiful and original still life of apparent simplicity. The light in which the textures and shine of the tangerines' skin stand out is beautiful.

Feel the same way you do about the value of fruit. Best wishes in the contest. Beautiful scene, interesting, especially that one tangerine is slightly peeled with the peeling hanging down, and the other fruit, including the grapes or blueberries (?)

Welcome. I'm glad I guessed as it was one of the two I thought. In the smaller version, I can actually better see, they are blueberries.

Wow....this is a very interesting photo that really caught my attention while scrolling through. I love the design on the background plate and bowl....it really makes the orange pop! It took me a second to even see the blueberries but I love it :) Good luck in the contest

This is a wonderful entry for the food contest!! The use of contrasting and complementary colours is very effective. The composition is well laid out and nicely balanced. Good strong contest entry and the oranges stand out well against the blue crockery and the blackish fruit add contrast and that peel of the orange is a good touch,and the fruit at the base of the bowl adds contrast..Brian
