This is an intriguing still life. The unusual bowl and containers are interesting. Your photo is well focused and exposed. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The still life is expertly composed. The arrangement of the objects is excellent. The bowl and the containers are well placed within the frame.

Ceramics can get to be very sentimental especially if they were hand-made by someone in the family. These that you have presented are all part of that, but I think the nut bowl is the most cherished. Thank you for sharing your ceramics. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

A very nice entry for the contest. The items you have chosen to group together as a still life work well together as do the colors. Thank you for your notes, they are really important in setting the mood for a composition and give the viewer some insight into what you were trying to achieve.

An interesting history of the collection. The focus is not as sharp and I would have eliminated some of the surround so the eye was more drawn to the ceramics as they are the main subject. Colors are good.

I cropped it some. Thanks, I should have done that, especially so my son's could be even more magnified. Thanks. Not the best camera. I've ordered a better one but must learn more. I'm more the drawer, painter than photographer as far as the technicals of an advanced camera.

Looks better, probably could use a tripod or have camera on something stable to get sharper focus. I struggle with still life more than birds for some weird reason :)
