very cool. the angle of the shot of this mama bird feeding her babies is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

This is great! I can see why you won this contest. I love seeing these birds. There is a lot of them near my home and I have taken a lot of shots of them but none with the Young.

Your review is much appreciated! And I agree, sometimes the reviews are baffling. Once I had one who was trying to judge my work, but knew nothing about photography. It was a group of wild parakeets that I had waited for all four to be in perfect attention, with a daytime moon perfectly placed in the background. I was given a very low rating because the moon wasn?t in focus, even though I said in my description that I used f/16 to keep the distant moon from being invisible with bokeh. And then there is the cut and paste reviewer who always says the same thing word for word. Well that is all part of the baggage that comes with amateur reviews. Those things can be overlooked.
