This is an extraordinary close-up shot. How the Eastern Spinebill clings to the Salvia plant is interesting. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I am impressed by the realism of light and color and the refinement of detail. The red eye of the bird draws the attention of the viewers especially. Your photo is excellent composed. This is a beautiful bird, by the looks of their bill, they are nectar feeders. I also have salvia and maybe some day mine will get a visit too. Mary this is a wonderful capture of the Eastern Spinebill perusing the salvia. It is nicely framed and focused. The bird stands out from the purple of the salvia. Tahnk you for sharing
