Your use of these particularly striking colors makes this a favorite of mine. I could see this in my apartment on my wall. The bright green is my favorite color.It appears you layer d paper maybe to give a 3d effect or maybe it the contrast between colors that gives it the raised appearance. I love it. Acrylic is not a forgiving medium. You did a fantastic job!

Sheila, I paint with a palette knife, I use both opaque and translucent paint right out of the tube. I layer and thats what gives it dimension. Also the use of complementary colors. There are extenders and retarders to change the drying time when you mix them with the paint. If you don't like what you just painted you can take it off with a damp rag before it cures. If you have any questions just ask and I will do my best to answer you. Ray

A creative and unique work Ray! I am impressed by the beautiful way these colors flow and swirl together. The abstract nature makes me pause to see all the finite details and, as always makes me want to find the point or goal of the work. I think the lovely colors are mesmerizing! Well done!

Very fascinating image here, Ray! It has the illusion of colored glass in the light. Did you use anything like tissue paper or plastic wrap crinkled to get this effect?

This looks like a vein of gemstones running through a rock face,you can see the various facets as they catch and reflect the light. A beautiful combination of colors that compliment each other very well!

Your abstract ignites my fantasy. I imagine being in a cave, were the walls contain precious stones and precious metals. I see aquamarines and turquoise. There might be even a diamond. Your abstract is excellent composed. The tall framing is sufficient. The composition is balanced.
