Nicely done for your first time!! You were able to create some depth in the wings, which can be hard to do. The colours compliment each other. I like that you kept the background light. The wings have lovely white details, which can be hard to preserve in watercolour. The only suggestion I would make is to give it a shadow, it will add to the realism, giving it more depth. Thanks for sharing

The other lines are great. Nevertheless, it is stunning and colorful. The background is also very, very nice.

Welcome, artist friend Aunty Jan. It is a beautiful monarch, really. And the background is nice. As I look at in in the smaller version, I appreciate even more how beautiful the monarch is. Great work indeed!
