The receding perspective of the arches is fantastic. Your lighting gives us almost a 3D effect that we feel we could walk into the scene. Use of shadows at the base of each column adds to the powerful presentation. I would have loved to been there to see where this hallway led to p

thanks Gary! It was fun to go through some older photos and re-invent them as I had to scan from negatives.

Your photo resembles a fantastic old painting with the play of shadows and light being shown in an impressive way. The depth is excellent and portrays the subject so well. Nice work, very well done!!

Eileen,
A beautiful & interesting picture of the arched passageway that remains me of Cloisters in a Monastery housing a community of Monks. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Love the way this draws the eye along the archways you have chosen an excellent perspective. The colors of the bricks help to show the aging structure. Beautiful presentation and an interesting one to view. :)

I love the perspective you have taken here looking through the fascinating brick arches. The texture of the brick work is attractive with it's various shades and colours. Wonderful composition that it clear and focussed. Thanks for sharing!

This looks like an impressive place Eileen, and I especially like your POV. It almost looks like brick arches are going on forever, and this creates an incredible depth. You have also brought out so well the fine textures of the bricks.

The focus is sharp while the framing is a bit soft, but I actually like this contrast, and the exposure is spot on. Lovely colors as well.

You did a good job with the old negative, and the format and framing is perfect. I think this is a great looking and well taken photo.
