Breakfast needs to be cooked. What a classic capture of this Blue Heron doing what they do the best. The fish never had a chance.
The lighting and the blues of the water gives us a lovely refection as a bonus. Placement and focus are spot on.

This is a great shot of the mid great blue heron. I have been trying for so long to get a shot like this with no luck. First of all bugs love me and I swell from bites. So cant stick around long enough.
Love the reflection, colours, and the view of the fish be swelled up. Nice job. Hugs

Many thanks, fortunately this was late Spring before all the nasty bitey bugs came out, plus i was shooting from inside the car with the window down. Unfortunately I tried to do the same thing in late summer, and was suddenly inundated with mosquitoes before I could get the window back up, and spent a great deal of time and energy trying to kill them!

What a clear and skilled capture of the blue heron and the carp in its bill. Its reflection is nice, even the carp is slightly seen. The water is nice enough, especially where the circling shows.
