A wonderful photo of both the flower and the small bug! I like your sharp focus and the composition that makes this bug look so big. The shades of yellow are well captured and the shot is balanced in an appealing way. Great entry for the contest, best wishes!

I do feel that although there is a contrast between the bug and the flower think because it is a bug contest it needed to be bigger in this,more so if you see some of the other entrys...brian

Brain,
I understand your logic regarding the bug, but for me this was not a micro contest, but a bug contest. For me the shot needed to be enhance of the bug and its environment, they needed to compliment each other, the green bug & yellow rose; a contrast in colors, cool and warm, that created a cohesive composition, know what I mean?

I have never heard of or seen a Kadydid. You have presented this bug well on such a beautiful contrasting colour of yellow. The yellow petals show up so well in this close up shot as well as the Kadydid. All the best in the contest.

This one is different, nice in many ways. I really like the cups or petals of yellow so nice in the upper right, the others are nice, not as much like petals. The kadydid is very plainly seen. Best wishes in the contest. Like the title much.
