Fortunate capture of the fish as it came up. Wish the surrounding colors were a little darker or lighter, had it been possible, not so blending in with it. But this makes the brown trout more safer, I'm sure.

Your close-up capture is amazing. You capture impressive detail, despite that the fish camouflaged itself perfectly. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of light and color and the refinement of detail. The fish is expertly placed within the frame. The framing is sufficient. The composition is balanced.

He appears to be coming up for air or bit of food on the surface. I have fished for trout as a boy on Boy Scout camping trips. Your water quality is clearer than I remember as a boy. Controlled the lighting and reflection well. Clever shot.

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that fish about to eat that surface fly. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

As a kid I used to fish for brook and brown trout; it has been a long time. I wish there were trout in the lake I live on. A very well timed shot and a great image. I like the composition that includes his shadow on the bottom.

Thanks a million for your complementary review on this brown Trout in the river Dodder the water at that point was less than four inches deep, so it's easy to see them. Not so easy to capture them.

This is cool. He or she is looking at you with the shadow in right there. I have tropical fish. They look at me because they want to eat. maybe this one is hungry.

I'm sorry Susan. The picture is blurred and I can barely see some shadows. May be you need to work on this and repost it. You idea seems interesting. Better luck next time.

I am struggling with this one Susan. The image is very hard to see the subject. The face is not as clear as i would hope to see without clear definition of what we are looking at.
