Despite our country's history and beauty, you have the real historical advantage. To be able to walk around this type of historical art and statuary would be amazing. Your treatment of the scene feels like you had this fellow in a photo studio with a neutral backdrop. Great lighting and structure.

A beautiful picture of this statue of the young man at Chatsworth, the Seat of the Dukes of Devonshire, with his
Manhood covered by a large Fig leaf which was common during the Victorian era. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Impressive sculpture of this male nude with the modestly applied fig leaf to hide his *maleness*, or by the size of the leaf, his lack of ? From his positioning, and the look on his face, it appears he has a smelly armpit-lol! It's a great photo, very nicely focused, good exposure, and a plain background to set it off!

Personally I don't see the need for the warning. This is a fine figurative sculpture of a male in a romanesque style. It has developed a wonderful patina. Very nice capture. thank you for sharing. Ray

Hi Nikman!
At first glance I thought the figure had been emasculated or suffered from some strange deformity of his genitals but I take it that the sculptor who created this work of statuary was probably just feeling typically puritanical and felt it necessary to hide the figure's penis and testicles for some childish ( or 'religiously' motivated! ) reason or another.
As a traditional artist who specializes in 'adult oriented' artwork I'm happy to see you,a Photographer whose works I enjoy very much, posting such an interesting picture!
It's outstanding as far as I'm concerned,my friend!

He is wearing a fig leaf to cover his modesty! So, why put the poor guy under restricted view. This is a fine shot of the statue. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Wow, I cannot review this one in any section, as I do never review what it is without a xxxxx, and this person seems to be created as there are so many different sections and colors on this body that it is for sure excellent, but sorry for not looking deep we, xoxo

A very nice statue. I like the position of the arms that show off his well developed chest and the fig leaf that hides what appears to be an underdeveloped set of genitals.
