This is such an outstanding drawing. From a first glance it look like a zebra pattern. I really love how you capture the human form using the shapes and only two colors. Outstanding work my friend thank you so much for sharing.

Amazing reclining lady. The stripes are elegantly aligned forming a very tasteful result. The stark black and white jumps off the canvas. Your DOF is almost a 3D effect. I hope this is about 4 by 3 ft canvas. Lovely!

Don't be offended but I thought to see part of a Zebra when I opened your post. My second look revealed that I was indeed looking at a human. Apparently, this person sits in a dark room, while light through a curtain paint strips onto his/her body. I like the abstract appearance of your artwork. The limitation to just black and white and the unusual framing draw the eyes and the interest of the viewers. Your artwork is excellent composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

A very unique entry for the contest, just enough simple contouring to create this interesting nude female form. Like your perspective as well as how you have filled the frame with this artistic image. best wishes to you in this contest!

thank you for your time and review of my drawing. I thought, a cross contour approach might make for an interesting entry in the human form contest.

A striking image to be sure. I like the perspective and the dramatic lighting. Not sure it should have the content warning. Best of luck in the contest.

    Mike,
thank you for the critique of my pen and ink drawing.
I agree it really should not have the warning, so I removed it.
Thank you for the suggesting I consider doing that.

Out of the box thinking giving the nude a zebra finish! Creative concept.
Imaginative presentation. Well done! * Skillful technique: Good luck!

    seshadri,
thank you, for your critique of my pen and ink drawing.
I wanted it to be a simple cross contour drawing that shows the female form. With the outline in a few places, I wanted to show how the lighting might show a little of the body, to add some depth to the drawing.

Wow again, as this traditional art is also outstanding as this entire content is a person ad when we look even closer we can see that it is a lady and your color combination with only black and white creative sections and in such a special place, so all is fantastic, xoxo

This very well presented. the piece is descent and not offensive in any way. Looks like a striped body suit. Th contour of black and white. I don't think the white outline was necessary, but you would have to extend the white. The eye has a great way of filling in the missing pieces. Very nicely done. Ray

Hi Lucien!
That's pretty cool but the 'zebra striped female torso' thing is a
bit too... mid nineteen eighties PLAYBOY magazine illustration- like to really 'make much of an impression on me.
It looks like something that the popular 'cheesecake pinup' artist 'Olivia'
( deBernardinis ) would have created for one of her 'erotic' calendars.

    Sean,

You are refer to Olivia De Berardinis, I would say maybe, however she did a lot of Pin Up artwork. I could see her trying this cross contour technique style. Too Flashy?

    Thank you for the critique.
