This is a very nuanced and delicate piece of art, which draws you into the beautiful details of this "wild" flower, much like some strange but hauntingly beautiful world. I love the color choice and its gradual transition from highlights to mid-tones to shadows. I also love the overall composition and how the stamens become a metaphor for perhaps independence. We all need to be together and apart at times. Life needs to be lived out in balance and harmony. This work spoke to me of just that.

I would have given you 6 stars for this photo as well Allan, but you just got my last one. This photo has such a dream like look, it looks delicate and it has the most fantastic hues of peach and pink.

I really like the close and personal approach and also your point view, and the focus is sharp with clear details. The exposure is spot on.

The format and tight framing is perfect, and I like the centered position of the flower. A truly lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thanks Annie, a cyber six is appreciated just as much. These water lilies a pretty interesting. Not often you have them right in front of you so you can easily do macro shots. The macro beauty of them is just stunning. I have never seen this type of structure in other
flowers. I could have stayed their hours to shoot, but my wife wanted to move on, so we moved on. I need to go back again with tripod and more time. Just stunning.
