a great entry to the letter G contest with this excellent close up of a grebe looking at you with a very angy expression, because you invaded her territory;

A beautiful shot. I love the wet look of the feathers and the way he is staring straight into the camera. Great colors and a very fine reflection. Best of luck in the contest.

Looks like she is quite upset you didn't take her permission to shoot! what a stern look. You have framed it well. Light and sharpness are very effective in creating a lovely capture. Good luck!

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that lovely duck. Like the feather detail and reflection. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

I love the expression on its face! It is really staring you down!
You have photographed it well with good focus, the image is clear and I can see good detail in feathers, face and those eyes! I like the yellow markings on each side of its bill and can see that its feathers are wet. Your exposure is correctly managed, the colors and tones appear natural. The grebe is standing out without distractions from the shiny green water.
I like it's placement within the frame ,however if you were going to print and frame this you would need just a bit more room behind it.
I love its pose and the way it is looking right at you!
Good entry for this contest! Best wishes to you!

The Grebe (Don't believe I've ever seen one. Are they kin or a part of the geese family or what?) is really full of personality with those eyes staring. Almost like it has a double head, the water reflection is so good. A really skillful capture of the scene.
