Fine scene, artist friend Susan. Unique that the Moorhen is surrounded by so much green. Would also be good for that contest. Appears the bird is enjoying the swim and almost looks like a magical painting. As usual, your frames add to the scene.

I use Paintshop Pro too. Your added border is a unique feature. Do you sell prints like that? Great color, contrast and detail. Nice use of the Rule of Thirds too.

I guess that this Moorhen is looking for food. The bird seems to investigate carefully the shores of the river. Your photo has good depth and is well focused and exposed. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The reflections at the motionless water are intriguing. The photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. The photo is excellent composed and framed. The Moorhen is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
