just a line drawing showing emotion

What you focused on is rendered well, the mouth and indeed shows emotion. The background and color are fine too. As good as it is, probably would be better if the sides, especially the right and down the middle of the nose were less. Still good work is what I think.

    Glena.
Thank you for your time in looking and then writing your critique on my drawing. Sometimes that is the way the face looks uneven, just like most peoples faces which are not symmetrical.
Have a good rest of your day,
    cheers.

You don't have to show much to be expressive and thats why this works so well. Munch's is a classic and is far from detailed and is a teaching point around the world. You have expressed yourself and the message is loud and clear. Very nicely done. Ray

In my humble opinion you have achieved your goal! Your full composition and long lines, do indeed project a feeling of a man experiencing some dreadful terror. Well done and good luck!

It works very well And its true line art. So pleased to see someone doing it as intended. Your "scream" is modern and recognisable. The colour pen on yellow paper is an added appeal. Good luck. I hope voters look up and know what line art definition is.

Yes Lucien we will see. True line art I live to do and did stick to the rule as defined but always intricate artwork seems to win we will see ...

An interesting take on Edward Munch's famous painting. You have expressed the 'silent' scream in a few lines. You have captured the essentials of the subject. Instinctively. Well done!

This certainly fits the category. The strong feelings this evokes is amazing. The vision of Munch's Scream jumps of the page. The flared nostrils and the stress lines along the cheekbones add the feeling. Your use of the orange paper for some reason intensifies the feeling of terror.

Your drawing is interesting. That you are able to describe such strong emotion with a few lines is impressive.
Fright seems an understatement. The crying person seems to be terrified, sized by horror. I thought immediately at the Edward Munch painting. A shiver run through me and created goose-bumps at my skin. I also believe that in contradiction to my thoughts, most viewers will think of the famous movies, because Halloween is approaching in October and the Day of the Dead in November.
Your drawing is excellent composed and framed. The tight framing is adequate. The composition is balanced.

This is an excellent recreation of the Scream theme. I like the limited but appropriate detail you did. The yellowish paper gives it a cool vintage look. Well done.
