wow avmurray,this is a great and beautiful mix media painting of a photographic art work ......the lighting is what sets this piece and blows the details of shadows and shades of darkness with the moon that lays out a perfect night with the tree given you a fullness of depth which i feel sets the mood of the night ,,,,,,it is one of your best works and i find it to be joyful in reviewing .......it will be hard to beat in any contest...

This photographer is talented. But I think this looks more like a colored pencil portrait than a photographed photo. Other than that it's a nice picture.

I agree that this looks more like a painting, but that was with intention. You see, the idea about mixed media is to use a photo but turn it into something totally different.

Your mixed media is extraordinary. The flower is gorgeous. The dark background and the full moon add a magical appearance. I would not wonder if fairies emerged. The sophisticating lighting amplifies the flower. The mixed media is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Hi Annie, You didn't let the dahlia or the viewer down when you created this!!! I love the luster of the flower. It seems to glow in the dark with its own special magic! . Love the soft purple streaks on magical white! The image is breathtaking and a true "Annie" original! :o) Nancy
