certainly not the most beautiful bird Pat, but you did an excellent job capturing the sparkle in the eye and his black feathers with such sharp and clear details;

Hi Pat, Great shot of this up close crow! The feathers on the head and the eye have wonderful focus! Look like this guy is keeping an eye on you. Nice job of capturing this suspicious moment of the crow watching the photographer. Nice shot My Friend! :o) Nancy

    Thank you so very much my friend! I appreciate your support. This is actually a Raven, they are much larger then a crow.

This is so good; since he/she is all black, shadows can sometimes be a challenge, but you nailed it. Great DOF, angle, contrast and detail.

Love this close up the raven. A lot of people don't take pics of ravens because they are so annoying. Here they eat all the peanuts and scare my other birds away.

Your photo is really good. Love the background and this ravens smug look on his face.

Clarity, depth, lighting and framing are are excellent.

Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you so much Linda! I love the Ravens, they are super intelligent, comparable to a Dolphin or a chimpanzee, they are protected and are very important to the Native American people.

This photo has a lot of personality power. Brings the subject to life. the direct look of the eye. The feathers' tiny details. The background muted to focus viewers' sight on the raven.

What a sleek looking raven with interesting light eyelashes over his large eye!! Such interesting "face fathers" too, which look longer on the right than on the left even though the left side is mostly hidden. A fine animal portrait! Thanks for sharing!

A beautiful shot with exquisite detail in the black plumage on his face. I like the eye contact and way this pose makes him seem insightful.
