This is such a peaceful scene with the sleeping mallard sitting on a rock and the completely still water. You have captured such a fine shine in it, and the light is also falling on the duck in such a lovely way.
The duck is standing out sharp and well defined against the background, and it is clear details to be seen in the bird. The exposure is perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped, and the duck is well placed a bit off to the right. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.

This is such a peaceful scene with the sleeping mallard sitting on a rock and the completely still water. You have captured such a fine shine in it, and the light is also falling on the duck in such a lovely way.
The duck is standing out sharp and well defined against the background, and it is clear details to be seen in the bird. The exposure is perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped, and the duck is well placed a bit off to the right. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.

A beautiful & peaceful picture of NOT a Goose but a Mallard drake sleeping peacefully while perched on a rock at the lake's shore, his head tucked under it's wing. the low sunlight highlighting his left flank a loose feather seen floating off on the right. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Sleeping and very well balancing himself. God given gift. Even while sitting on a sofa, I fall off while snoozing! Nice looking shot. Glad you didn't come in the way of his snooze:).

Really nice colors in the goose's head and body, especially those purples. Seems it is forming a safe cushion with the look-like-added-padding. Fine rock, water, grasses.
