Very lovely. I love your water you created. The colour is perfect with the bits of white.

Great words of wisdom. I needed this at this moment.

Thank you.

What a beautiful message of comfort is this piece of artwork. "When Overwhelmed, Only Believe" delights me not only because I am a Christian and hold Christianity dear to my heart, but also because this is a message of peace to anyone who may be going through a hard time in life. Storms of life can pull us closer to God, to the Supernatural, to the ultimate Source of hope and help. Frequently, we may feel that we are in control of our lives, but storms help us realize that we can't be. That is, there are bigger things that may stand in our ways of getting to where we want to go, things that can only be moved by bigger forces than ourselves. From a technical standpoint, I think the overall storm atmosphere has been well captured. Beautiful work on the waves and the clouds. The figures look a bit stiff, however. Also, the white clothes on Jesus could not have been so white due to the weather. So, paying attention more to details like color and value would unify the overall image and make it appear more realistic.

Thank you, thank you, thank you artist Victoria, for your reviewing, kind and detailed, extensive comments and helps. I enjoyed just reading what you wrote, explaining. Appreciate your strong Christian testimony too. God bless you always. And, you are correct. I should have drawn the figures not as stiff, especially Jesus and darkened His clothing. It is wonderful to have such constructive input.

This is a beautiful and cleverly presented Faith Art image. As a Christian the sentiment and words mean a lot. I love how you have created the waves and the storm. It is thoughtfully created with Peter closely holding Jesus's hand as he is sinking in the water. All the best in this contest Glena!

Lovely sentiments and an excellent technique on the water that you managed to create in such a way that it gives the impression of translucency and depth. Also you did a fabulous job on the clouds for which you have clearly mastered the technique! My admiration! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, artist friend Daphne. Your reviewing and encouraging comments means so much. This scene I tried to relay is after the storm, Peter holding his dripping robe. The sentiments, theme, I do like too; thanks also for your coveted insight.

This is a thoughtful and well done faith artwork. I like the beautiful stormy waters against the gray cloudy sky and the figures standing on the water seem very mysterious which is what faith is all about! I think this is a great entry for the contest, I love the natural colors and tones and your water is so beautifully done. Great work artist friend and I wish you the best of luck!

This is a wonderful entry for this contest, I appreciate the notes you have included to tell this story that reminds us to stay faithful .
The scene is well rendered, it shows the sea and the stormy sky, Jesus holding the hand of Peter.
Well created with good shape, structure and size.
Nice choice and application of the colors, I like the way you show the water and it's motion too.
Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Hi Glena, I'm really impressed with the faces and the rough look of the sea. You did a awesome job of painting this. The waves have a very REAL look to them. It really is a very nice piece of work! Great entry for the faith Contest too! Good Luck! Wish I had a six for you! :o) Nancy

I was reading your notes with interest, even if I of course know the story behind this image. I especially like the color pallet you have used and also how well you have painted the rough water with the white tips of the waves. Also the sky is well painted.

Perhaps the composition could have been even better if Jesus and Peter had been less centered, but all together this is a touching, lovely and well done painting. I fine entry into this contest Glena, and I wish you luck.

Thank you, artist avmurray. I could have moved the characters off center more as I drew, painted them and scanned into the scene here before bringing the water upon Peter's legs. My original had different colors around them as I understand Israel's colors are a little different, an art teacher told me that when I was doing the original. Thanks, also, for the best wishes.
