Hi Annie, The background in this has a lovely frosty look to it. I love the way it compliments the flower. I also love the soft tones in the background that match the flower. This dahlia might be small but it is just as pretty as the larger ones. Your magical touches make it even lovelier. Simply lovely My Friend! :o) Nancy

It's always such a pleasure to view your floral images, they are always so well thought out . This is a gorgeous Dahlia, you have placed it perfectly within the frame and your use of mixed media gives it such an elegant look. The flower is of course well focused, this image is sharp and clear, you have brought forward the detail and texture of each petal as well as the detail in the golden center. Exposure is correct, the colors and tones appear natural . The petals actually shimmer as I view.
The background makes the perfect canvas and emphasizes this dahlia so well.
This is beautifully composed and presented!

Your mixed media has charm and elegance. This Dahlia might be not as big as your others, but I think that it is very pretty. The colors of the flower are especially beautiful. Your photo is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the soft light and the refinement of textures and detail. The colors are superb. The fractals at the background emphasize the blossom exquisitely. The mixed media is expertly composed and framed. The blossom is perfect placed at the left of center. The composition is balanced.
