I see a beautiful photo in an incredible environment, congratulations!
Beautiful shot, colors and light, a classic image of western movies set in Arizona...:)

I have to go someday. The land of giants and movie magic. The light foreground leads our eye to the giant formations of the remnants of the past million years of erosion. The colors look like a postcard of the 1950's. The sky adds texture and a pop of color.

You had a wonderful view when this photo was taken, and I especially like the low vantage point and the dramatic looking sky. I also like how well you have brought out the fine textures of the sand in the foreground.

It is a very sharp photo, and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the photo. The colors are lovely, and the exposure is spot on.

I also like the format you have cropped the photo into, and with the highest point off to the left it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and really well taken photo.

Nik,
An interesting & dramatic scene taken in Monument Valley on 18th October 2014; with three tall Buttes along the horizon under what looks like a ceiling of rainclouds floating overhead. The vegetation on the valley floor green indicating to me that there has been recent rains. Beautiful & dramatic composition, beautiful framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Good luck in the contest.
Susan

This is a wonderful shot of the Monument Valley. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good effort!

I love this. Wow. The sky is stunning. I love how the sand draws you into the depth of the scene and to the horizon.

This is definitely a six.

Thanks for sharing :)
