Wow Pat! This is an amazing shot! If I saw a moose like this lying down in my neighbor's yard I think I'd keel over! Lol The focus on this is amazing. Every hair stands out with super clarity. You're so lucky to see moose like this! A wonderful shot my friend! :o) Nancy

What a great portrait of this impressive bull moose, I can't believe he was just laying in your neighbor's yard chewing his cud! How cool, especially considering their size! It's a great photo, and the natural coloring of that storage shed doesn't distract from this majestic animal at all. I would have been in Seventh Heaven photographing this guy-lucky you- it's a great capture!

Can't these guy become very violent? I never have seen such a close up head shot on a moose. Fantastic. My wife would have loved this photo.

Thank you so very much I appreciate your wonderful review and I am truly honored by your six stars, yes indeed these animals can be very dangerous! The bulls especially during rutting season, the cows when they have their babies, but they both can be dangerous is they feel threatened or agitated , we just give them their space. I am actually across the street to get this, I am using my Nikon P900 it has a 2000 mm zoom!

A 2000mm zoom? You can see them a half mile away. My late wife loved moose. We would aways have to see the moose when we were at the zoo.

This camera is incredible for wildlife because of the zoom, it is equally good for very close captures because it will focus just inches from the subject. For birds however, I prefer the canon with 70 to 300 mm lens, I just feel that I have better control for birds in flight that way.

I'm a Canon person. Started with a Canon and never thought about witching. I bought a Sigma 150/ 600 F4 for taking animals at the zoo. It's not fast. But I'm not spending $12000 for a Canon.

Do you have a Mirrorless camera? I'm using my Canon EOS 7D I bought in 2010. I found out that some of my lenses will fit on a mirrorless. Plus there is an attachment that can be used for older lenses.

I didn't buy it yet. I'm thinking there hasn't been a sale on them in a while. $200 of is a good deal. I forgot you are not using one right?

These creatures are extraordinary aren't they? I was able to see some on a visit to Yellowstone Park, years ago.
You have a fine capture here. The background almost makes it difficult to view clearly but it works! Thank you for sharing!

Wonderful profile of such a beautiful animal. He really stands out from the background which is not busy to eye at all. Good luck and good job.

It is a majestic and great looking moose you have pictured here, and I think the neighbours shed offered a perfect background. Especially the shiny eye is well captured, and you have also brought out so well the fine textures of the fur.

The photo is pin sharp showing truly clear and well defined details in every part of the moose. The exposure Is perfect.

I also like the tight cropping and the placement of the moose off the left. I think this is a lovely and well taken portrait of a moose Pat, and with an excellent DOF.

Well "hello" there! It looks like he is wearing a sort of upside down hat in which he could carry melons or something if he wanted to! This is an amazing close up capture of this very interesting animal! Thanks for sharing!

This is a beautiful side view portrait of this bull moose. They can't wait, they are coming to you. Very nicely captured. He looks like he is loving the attention, very calm and smiling. So you had rocky the squirrel and now this must be Bullwinkle J. Moose. Thank you for sharing this, so much fun. Ray
