This is so well done and is clearly a painting of Bette Midler as her character in the movie Hocus Pocus. But you might want to check your date as you mentioned that the year was 1955...I'm sure you meant 1995

Very well done Miss Cleo! This is such a fun artwork, I love this movie and the Bette Midler character. You've done an excellent job re-creating her especially that look in her eyes! I'm looking forward to seeing the creation with MK flood. Well done, thank you for sharing!

Wow, I wasn't ready for the drawing. This is scarier than Bette is in the movie. Those eyes are the scariest thing in the drawing. But then the face is scary. A which? yes

Creative concept. Imaginative presentation. Impressive digital rendition. Excellent form: shadow, colour, and tonal range have created dimension. Thanks for sharing!

What great recreation of the character of Hokus Pokus. You have captured Bette Midler so well. The use of color and facial features help create a life like image that will work well in MKFlood's video. The dark background allows the figure to have a great DOF. So well done.

As this was unfolding on my computer it brought the headdress of Ukraine, the eyes of Betty Davis (What happened to baby Jane) and then Ethel Merman. Why Ethel, not sure. But you had ne going. Fun.

Cleo this is NOT your work. It is a copy of the original Disney image with the sisters scribbled out. This is copyrighted material you are using and claiming as your own.

    Thank you for your review.
    This is my work!!!
This was painted for MKFlood's video. MKFlood required required a photo-realistic painting based on the 1998 Disney movie.
There are hundreds of brush strokes within the image.
If you blow up the image, you can see my brush strokes. I spend about 100 hours to paint this image. I would have liked to use a wizard's head as in the other images, but the format requirement did not allow this.

Cleo. Blowing up the image is exactly what shows this is not your work. You are using images and portraying them as your work. I hope MK takes a good look at this because it is a Disney copyrighted image with just the sisters scribbled out.

    I disagree.
MK wanted her painted photorealistic as she appears at the poster to the movie. Ask him. For all I know he has an agreement with Disney because his video is planned to promote the movie on You Tube.
It is all my work. First, I scratched Bette Midler?s portrait several times on paper. I can provide those paper scratches. Then I transferred the scratches to a raster of 9 [nine] squares of identical size, just as I would transfer a cartoon to a wall outdoors. Then I painted with small brushes. You can see my brush stokes if you blow up the image. I would have liked to add the wizard heat I used for the other images in this series, but the by FanArtReview required size does not allow this. The video is a cooperation between artists of FanStory, FanMusic, and FanArtReview and promoted by Tom.
How comes that you never doubted the authenticity of my portraits before when I used historical photos from my own library our downloads from the Internet? But now, as I followed exactly the instructions of Mark, you doubt the authenticity of my work?
    Cleo
reply by Jodi Kay on 07-Nov-2022
Cleo i doubt the authenticity because it is the Disney image. It is not a painting. It is the exact image scribbled up.

Fine digital painting indeed. The skin on the neck and necklace area is excellent. The eyes are Bette Middler's likeness. The necklace and earrings are perfect. The face is S C A R Y! Fine work.
