A very interesting and beautiful image of the sea. I enjoy the soft colors and the deep shadows in the water. It is nicely composed and I feel has the perfect balance of sky, water and land. Well done.

OMG!!! This does look a lot like mine-lol! Love the dark clouds, that great wave,and the sliver of shore-three of the elements in one beautiful shot. A great image,very well composed,with excellent timing and exposure; did you have a hurricane off shore too?!

The greens in the water are lovely; the horizon nice and straight; the foam coming ashore is nice too. The sky with the whites, off-whites, and blues is nice as well.

The "Golden Hours" when ambient light is a side ways as possible do you get this kind of beautiful contrast. I am glad to see you chose an overcast day. Overcast at these times produces the most dramatic and enigmatic lighting - such as you have captured with this magnificent piece.
Oh yes, the most important requirement for fine photography is the eye. If you don't have a good eye the best shots will pass you by - you have a great eye.
Your camera technique is flawless.
A practiced use of the rule of thirds renders a balanced and pleasing look at an emerald ocean seascape.
I can hear the surf and smell the salt in the air. This is one of the finest seascapes I have seen on this site - Kudos ... Bob

The layers of water and the gorgeous "turquoise" colors make this an exquisite photo. I like your position as the photographer because the viewer feels like he can step into the ocean from the sand in the foreground. Excellent focus and good, subdued lighting.

I spent many an hour frolicking in the ocean, body surfing and Kayaking and this picture tells it all. This shot is beautifully framed and it tells the whole story. Good luck int he contest. Ray
