This is an absolutely stunning photo of the sea! I love the activity in the clouds and the crashing waves! Vitamin Sea!
Did you change it from the first entry?
Congratulations on your first place win!

Thanks so much, no this is the same image. We went down one year for about 24 hours, came back from being on the beach early in the morning to find a note on our room door that we had to evacuate! Wasn?t as bad as the time we drove 13 hrs to stay overnight in Kitty Hawk, in the morning left to go to the ferry terminal at the end of Hatteras island to go over to Ocracoke Is., only to be told by the Coast Guard that we couldn?t go over because they were evacuating all the tourists off Ocracoke because there was a hurricane Ophelia) that was slowly churning it?s way up the coastline from Florida. I was literally in tears when we left!

Oh I know that feeling! We were evacuated during Hurricane Michael after only a day!
I just spent four days at the beach again and I cry every time I leave. Seriously!

Very pretty! This looks like a beautiful painting through your adjustments. The depth is lovely and the low tone colors so relaxing! Excellent photography here, best wishes for the contest!

When I looked at this shot for the first time the clouds caught my eye immediately - super dramatic and menacing.

Your camera settings choice caught the roller motionless. The colors are primarily earth toned and compliment each other naturally.

Seascapes such as this tell stories.

You have caught a moment in nature that will never occur again, well done ... Bob

Beautiful capture of these wonderful waves. Waves you want to run and jump in as a kid.

The colours are fantastic and tell a story of this seascape.

Earl maybe waiting in the distance but the beauty has spread forward to the beaches.

Stunning job. Great entry

It appears as if Earl was showing of some of its power as it raced up the east coast. LeeAnn you have a wonderful capture of the surf with tints of green and the Blue tinted clouds as they barrel up the coast. Very amazing. Ray

This really is a beautiful shot of an all-time favourite subject matter. The colours are fantastic, and the fading light adds mystery. Finely composed and timed this makes for interesting viewing! Good luck!

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of the lovely and dramatic coastline before you. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

This is a beautiful capture of a lovely scene, especially those clouds with the blues and grays. The sea is also very nice. Nice contest entry and best wishes.
