I like the overall blackness in this and of course the red beak then stands out much better as a result of the blackness, good one for the contest...Brian

This is actually not too bad, considering it's BOB (Black On Black). I think there's enough contrast that the swan sticks out very nicely.

This is a beautiful capture of this black swan, perfectly focused and framed. That bright red and white beak is an attention getter. Such a beautiful swan. Very nicely presented and very enjoyable to view. Ray

I don't know why my system is sending reviews twice. sorry. this is not the first time this has happened, and I do not see how to delete the second one.

If there are black swans, there might also be leprechauns or fairies. This is a stunning nature image, a full and pleasing composition that offers us a beautiful view of the swan. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

I like this black on black presentation- it brings excellent definition to the swans body and feathers. I also like his placement within the frame. Red can have a tendency to become overly chromatic especially in a dark setting so my only suggestion would be to adjust the chromatic setting just a bit. It is a truly lovely and well taken photo, thanks for sharing!!

You did an outstanding job capturing the scene from a photograph in the lobby, I understand. The feathers on the back are so full and quite lovely. The beak or bill is most outstanding and the way you have that long neck meshing into the background is so nice.

Thank you for your nice review. Actually it was the picture in the lobby that gave me the idea, but this swan is one I actually photographed on the lake. Then I made the changes.

It is such a treat to see a black swan! I would love the opportunity to photograph one.
The swan is standing out nicely from the black background , that red bill just pops!
Well placed within the frame. The swan is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is good, colors and tones appear natural in this light. I see such good detail in the black feathers.
Well composed and presented!
