Super fine work of subject matter that would usually be done in color, but due to the highlights and lighting this lends itself beautifully to grayscale. VERY impressive!

This may be be in BW but it is lovely! Love the way you put sheen on the vase! The drooping flowers add a different look and have wonderful shading. I even like the mottled background. Thus shows flower images don't have to be in color to be enjoyed! very Nicely Done! Good Luck n the Contest! :o) Helvi

Fantastic art in graphite pencil. The background and tulips are really nice, and especially is the pitcher which is also realistic. The white highlights gives it enough for black and white. Fine work.

This s a fabulous entry for this contest! I love that you chose to draw tulips , I am so impressed with how realistic the tulips are here, they are accurate in their shape and structure, also in their size , I love that you even show a few that are bending over the rim of the pitcher, the leaves also are so accurately shown, the pitcher is beautiful , look at the way it shines, it appears to be a silver pitcher .it's a perfect placement of this pitcher of tulips within the space, I like the fallen blooms too!
Very well created, beautifully arranged and presented! Very best wishes to you in this contest! This will be difficult to beat! I wish I had a six star rating for this, I am sorry I am out!

The arrangement of the tulips is natural and the fallen blossoms lend an air of originality to peaceful and calming scene.
This is an above the cut piece of original art, wonderfully done ... Bob

Thanks! Yes, I've worked mostly in graphite pencil for nearly fifteen years. I'm trying to slowly branch out, but I'm a creature of habit, lol.

This is just perfect, and I like everything about this drawing. Perhaps especially the white pitcher because of the fine shine and shadows you have brought out. I also like the slightly textures background and the whimsical placement of the tulips.
It is easy to see that this was done paying a really good attention even to the smallest details, and you have also used high lights really well.
The format and framing is perfect, and it is a very good balance in the composition. Indeed a beautiful and well done drawing, and I wish you luck with the contest.
