Great entry for the sea photo contest. Love how the white stands out against the darkness of the background. Well focused and presentation is great. Thanks for sharing.

Almost looks like the hull of a ship as it drifts along. The blue color in the ice is intriguing. The reflection ties it all together for a wonderful capture on the bounding sea. Ray

This is a great photo. I like the soft layers of cold blue, as they tell a cold, cold story. The darkened background really makes the iceberg pop.

Hi Super, Love the beautiful shape of this iceberg. I usually think of an iceberg as being massive and very chunky. This iceberg has a lovely design to it. Very pretty with very nice focus and lighting. I definitely enjoyed the view! Good Luck in the contest! :o) Nancy

Have you ever wondered if there might be microscopic life entombed in the deep ice?
But perhaps more importantly if there is what consequences will arise if their tomb melts and they have the chance to reanimate?

A well captured image of 'Greenland Growler'. This take is so very well produced I think it might have done well in the B&W contest.

Lots of fine detail on and around this very large ice cube - perfect camera settings.

Excellent white balance control ... Bob

    there are certainly some primitive life forms in the ice;

I like the idea of this "very small iceberg"...as you know most of it is under the water so I am sure what you have captured here is only a small part of the story. The abstract shapes and slopes with their variations of blue are really calming and peaceful to view. Thanks for sharing

Fred,
A beautiful picture of the on the surface a SMALL iceberg it's shadows blue as the daylight falls upon it. it's reflection on the glistening sea in which it's floating. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that potentially dangerous berg. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!
