Nice conversion to B/W. He is great example of a B/W conversion that works. You have not lost his definition or his personality. The mottled background helps define his fine figure and action. Nice job.

it could have been an obvious winner of this contest with this nice expression of the monkey; unfortunately, the pic isn't sharp enough;....

Yes. I tried to sharpen it but in vain. Thank you for your time and useful comments.

It looks sharp in the smaller window but it looks pixelated in the larger window. My review is based on the smaller view. As I will not lower rate on a view that could my screen.

The black and white is excellent on this photo. I love the softness of this little guy. You kept the softness and yet you added sharpness to details that made this photo an excellent choice for the contest.

Great job

No no it shows fine on the smaller screen. I wouldn?t worry about it. It could be my phone. My iPad has crapped out. Great.

This is a fantastic photo. I like Black & White anyway, and this shot has emotion all over. Great contrast, detail, rule of thirds. I like how the left side acts like a frame, leading my eye to the monkey.

This photo is of an interesting subject, and the black and white add interest for me. I think it gives the shot character. However, my view of the photo has slight pixelation around the face. Perhaps the image had more than 700 pixels when uploaded?

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that worried looking monkey. Textures, details and tones are good. Well done and good luck!

I do enjoy it and the monkey is quite cute, like it is sucking its thumb wondering where Mommy is. There are parts of it that could be clearer. But it is a cute animal and the title is witty.
