This is an interesting work of art. I am not familiar with your technique, but it certainly looks fascinating. I like your choice of colors. It almost appears to me as a mystical waterfall. Nicely created and well presented.

Monica, thank you for this fine review. this was done with a jelly pad. The back ground was done with the warmer colors. I took a jelly pad and laid the blue on with a palette knife and moved it around with a roller and thats where the ridges came from. I laid the paper with the orange and green on the jelly pad to take a print of it and this is the results. I am so glad you enjoy it. Ray

This is really cool, I like the textures you have in this one! I see prehistoric remains of both animals and plants now buried beneath the soil of this woods where a couple is enjoying a hike, unaware of what lies under their very feet!

This process had a very interesting effect. I like the fossil-like image at the bottom (left of center). Maybe it could be a tree root. I could look at this for a long time and imagine things. I love it.

Reminds me of the Viking Long Ships that explored the coastlines of the New World. Wild storms battered their boats as they attempted to explore coastline harbors and inlets. The lighted passage is drawing the ship into the rocky coastline at their peril of the rocky shoreline.
So much for my tale of Vikings and their adventures.

I could see straight away that this was something different, and I really like the result. Using a jelly pad gives more smooth look, but still with intriguing textures. I also like very much the color pallet you have used and the fine lines and shapes.
I think this is a lovely and indeed well done abstract painting Ray.

I can see many things in this one... Pulling back, to me, your passage lines look like tree roots, and the "blue pole" looks like a tree growing out of a planter on a plinth. Between the trees are two miniature "ghosts" "passaging" into another dimension. A man with baseball cap, carries a jacket while walking away, but in a three quarter pose. He is wearing blue jeans and possibly camouflage colours on top. Ahead of him is perhaps a smaller female who is kind of morphing away... Nice colour tones! Thanks for sharing!

This painting has a certain "creepiness" about it. It reminds me of the fire swamp forest in the movie Princess Bride and in the background I see what could be a "rodent of unusual size". I do love the technique you've used to achieve this painting. Your placement and choice of colours are excellent!

Ray ... Me again, Man I have visited this piece about five times and each time I came away with no solid impressions at all save for a familiarity that kept calling. That is until right now at visit number six.
As crazy as this may seem this piece is one of my few remaining memories of an alcohol fueled night at the local 'Barn Dance' in Evansville Vermont ca 1964.
I see the music as shades of color reverberating off the walls and the dancers.
I see the same band playing the same songs in the same order and same way as last week and forever before.
I see the same strangers on the dance floor trying to find that someone with whom they have find a connection with.
I see the men's room is still a long ways off.
Boring, not! It was the place to see and be seen ... Bob
