This is a cool backlit scene. The scene is open and airy enough to allow the bird to hold his own presence. I might have cropped this a bit more to give use even a better look at your feathered friend. The border and script in very informative and finished the scene.

    Gary,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this singing Mistle Thrush 60ft up in a Riverside Willow 50 yards away taken through my office window at full zoom. I cropped it by 50% any more it would be pixelated.

Well,that's Cool,Susan!
It's a fine looking photographic presentation,my friend, and it projects a nicely unusual 'almost eerie' sort of a tone!
'Good Show',my friend!

He appears happy and seems to be in a musical mood. I can hear his hearty song!:) This is a beautiful shot of nature. You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and composition have worked out well. Good effort!

What a pity we can't have recordings to accompany our photos, I love the song of the Mistle Thrush.
I love how the sun has caught the tops of the branches, really highlighting them. Also excellent job to have managed to capture the bird with an open beak!
Nice capture Susan, well done.

I like the bare branches and the way the sunlight falls upon the bird, I can see the open beak. I wish I could hear it's song.
The bird is well placed within the frame. Well focused, this image is clear, good use of the available light.
Well composed, nicely presented with the added frame.

Fine capture of the bird with more golden highlights from the right as the limbs are more golden there also. Different than your other one with the blackbird. Both are nice. I can see more features in this one. Fine capture and composition, artist friend Susan.

Lots of cheerful birds over there in Ireland recently! Must be the nice sunlight making them chirpy. Colours, textures and tones are good. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well taken!
